A video introduction to our services

News - 26 Jan 2010

Escape Artists have been contracted by Motherwell College to provide specialist training to practitioners involved with the Scottish Arts Council-funded Inspiring Change project - a large scale programme that aims to engage Scottish prisoners in learning through high quality arts projects.

Learners will come from, among others, Scottish Opera & Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Scottish Ensemble and The National Youth Choir of Scotland, Citizens Theatre, and The National Galleries of Scotland.

Starting this this week, Escape Artists will deliver the first of four day-long workshops exploring ways in which the arts have been successfully used within the CJS, and techniques, exercises and models for encouraging active engagement in a CJS setting.

We think you will find this website useful if:

  • You are a contractor that works with marginalised or 'at risk' groups of people and you are looking for highly engaging, structured education and training services that provide accredited progression routes to further education or employment
  • You are an arts practitioner wishing to work in partnership with an organisation that can provide support in the areas of professional development, project management, course creation and accreditation
  • You are a funder committed to developing sustainable approaches to social inclusion and building meaningful relationships between service providers.
