Clients Info here on the range of groups Escape Artists uses the word client to refer to a person who directly benefits from our education and training services (see the sub-menu on the left for a list of the groups that clients generally fall within). Please note the company only engages with clients through contractors that we are working in partnership with. If you are a potential client, and you would like to be involved in one of our programmes, then please ask your services or support manager to contact us. If you are currently unattached to a support or services organisation, then please call us for advice.
The work of Escape Artists is rooted in the arts and embraces the prevention, integration and inclusion of youth at risk across its education, training and community activities. We use the arts as a tool for personal development and strongly believe they can facilitate the acquisition of transferable skills, social skills, self esteem and confidence. We strive to improve access to the arts, to foster and enhance the personal creativity of our clients and to provide a bridge from the margins to the mainstream. We have worked in Young Offender Institutions, with Youth Offending Teams and in Pupil Referral Units delivering pre-employment training and arts courses in order to engage young people in a creative way.
Our IN:FUSION programme, specially designed for Youth Offending Teams, is now available. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amed sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut. Duis autem vel eum iriure. Escape Artists has been working with homeless groups in Cambridge since 1999 when we ran music and drama workshops for Wintercomfort , a charity that supports the homeless. Since then we have also worked with hostel residents at 222 Victoria Road, offering opportunities for involvement in music, drama and video workshops. These workshops have been supported by grants from English Churches Housing Groups and the European Social Fund. The results of the last series of workshops, which ended with the making of a short video, can be seen on the Escape Club page. We work specifically on arts and mental health projects within the Cambridgeshire region. We started working in this area when we were contacted by the Friends of Fulbourn Hospital in 2001. The Friends were looking for an organisation that could help them with the provision of arts for mental health patients, both within the Hospital and outside; in day care centres and residential homes.
